The Leeds Learning Disability People’s Parliament is for adults with learning disabilities in Leeds

It feeds into the Leeds Learning Disability Partnership Board to give adults with learning disabilities a say in what it does.

It meets five times a year, including a takeover of the Council Chambers once a year. Asking You! staff and volunteers help to run it.

What is it?

At People’s Parliament meetings, we:

  • Sometimes have guest speakers. They are from local services and talk about how they can help
  • Elect members to go to Leeds Learning Disability Partnership Board meetings. They are chosen to represent the People’s Parliament
  • Have lunch at the end of each meeting

Who Is It For?

The People’s Parliament is for adults with learning disabilities who live in Leeds.

Meetings are held in person and are free to attend.
