The next Leeds Learning Disability People’s Parliament meeting is about Being Connected – Social. We will talk about social opportunities, like going out and activities for adults with a learning disability in Leeds.
At the meeting, we will have people from different services talking about the opportunities they have for being social. The People’s Parliament is for adults in Leeds who have a learning disability.
What’s on the agenda?
We will have talks and activities. They will include:
- Sarah from Connect in the North doing an icebreaker about going out on an evening
- Lesley and Sherieda Joseph from People in Action talking about what they do
- People Matters talking about their groups
- Hazel from Leep1 talking about their monthly club nights at PopWorld in Leeds
- Sarah talking about what to do if you feel unsafe when going out and asking what activities you want to do
There will also be lunch at the end of the meeting.
