We have some training coming up for anyone who would like to become a Volunteer Digital Champion with us!
This project involves helping adults with a learning disability in Leeds to learn digital skills. It is funded by a grant from Leeds Community Foundation and supported by 100% Digital Leeds.
How digital skills can help
Having digital skills can:
- Promote social inclusion
- Improve health and wellbeing
- Gain better access to services and information
As a Volunteer Digital Champion, you will be meeting regularly with someone with a learning disability to show them how to do things like:
- Using smartphones
- Using apps and websites
You will be working with them in a person-centred way. The role is for a few hours every month.
