Volunteers play a big role at Asking You.
They support people with learning disabilities to take part in activities, share their views, and feel confident in social and community settings.
On this page, we have information about how you can volunteer with us and other ways to get involved.
Our volunteer roles
Learning Disability Citizen Advocate
A volunteer Citizen Advocate is paired up with someone with a learning disability in an advocacy match.
The two people in an advocacy match meet regularly.
The Citizen Advocate helps their advocacy partner by ensuring they feel supported to speak up for their rights.
Steering Group Member
This role involves helping to guide what Asking You does. It is for people with a learning disability who live in Leeds.
The Steering Group meets regularly to look at what we are doing and how we are helping the people we work with.
